Note the right handed grip in this shot, as I am moving to the left. Here I am using the roughing gouge to get the blank down to working size. See the ring in the photo, I do not wear my ring during woodworking any more, after I saw one of these photos. It reminds me of a shop teacher I had in Jr. High who had half of a finger missing from a shop accident. Jewelry and loose clothing are both hazards and need to be avoided.] |
